Welcome to the Clitheronian Rally in its twelfth year with the current organising team and winner of the 2015 ANWCC Rally of The Year award and the Paul Coombes Trophy for the best SD34 Road Rally of 2017, for the fifth year running.
This year the event is again being run under a Road Rally permit, with straightforward navigation in the form of six figure grid references with ample time to plot. As ever, we aim to provide you with some no-nonsense rallying on great roads.
This year a change of start/finish venue opens up new options for a terrific route using
maps 97, 98, 99, 103 and 104 over 130 miles of classic, 100% tarmac roads that will be familiar to many
competitors, but still challenging nonetheless. You won’t need to buy all 5 maps; the short sections on 97
and 99 will be provided on colour printed handouts.
As with our sister road rally, the Primrose Trophy, the club has chosen to support the North West Air Ambulance Charity through the running of the event. £5 from every entry will be donated directly to the charity with the opportunity to add to this amount on the entry form. There will also be a collection at signing on; please give generously either way. We’re sure you will all agree that this is a cause worthy of our support and one that we all hope we will never need to use.
We look forward to presenting all classes of competitor with a great night’s motor sport. Enjoy!
We would again like to thank Stephen Taylor of Taybridge Construction Limited for his continued and valued support.
